Julia Forbes

Julia joined Halberg Criminal Defense after serving as the County Attorney for a large county in Southern Minnesota where she conducted over fifty felony jury trials. She has over eleven years of experience in criminal prosecution where she has handled a wide variety of cases ranging from misdemeanors to complex felony cases; including DWI, assault, criminal sexual conduct, drug, and property offenses. Julia has handled cases through trial and appeal. She also has extensive experience in civil asset forfeitures and experience in Child Protection and Termination of Parental Rights matters. Her years of prosecution experience give her the unique ability to analyze a case from both sides. Julia is proud to now defend those accused by the State and she is committed to providing zealous advocacy to her clients.

Before her time as a prosecutor, Julia graduated in the top ten percent of her law school class.
